ABOUT US
ISBI Institute @ Strathmore was founded by Strathmore Educational Trust (SET) and an Austrian NGO, ICEP (www.icep.at), with the goal to promote business and management mastery amongst small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
We offer comprehensive innovative business programmes for entrepreneurs who wish to streamline their operations, expand their business and graduate from small informal stage to formal or higher levels of scale enterprises. The main focus of the programmes is on the immediate practical value for entrepreneurs and best practices from each industry involved. All business cases were developed based on real-life Kenyan examples. The class framework also provides an excellent opportunity to network and exchange ideas with like-minded entrepreneurs.
Our faculty is uniquely suited to address the SME segment. The combination of vast industry experience in their respective fields and interactive in class lecturing aims to provide a real competitive advantage through people.

Operations Lead
Brian is responsible for planning & execution of operations and coordination of programs.
Brian holds a bachelors of Commerce degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT)
Olive Kirigo
Business Development Lead
Olive is responsible for business development. She has a background in Banking & CRM Consulting.
She holds a degree in Administration & Mgt Finance from St. Paul's University
Josephine Ng'ang'a
Academic & Alumni Relations
Josephine oversees AEP sessions & is in charge of curriculum development.
She doubles up as the Alumni Relations Lead & holds a degree in Actuarial Science from Strathmore University
Cyrus Muchai
Consultant
Cyrus oversees training needs, capacity building, support, nurture, coach and mentor MSMEs. Egerton University, Bachelors of Business Management (Management Science) Kenya Methodist University, MBA (Strategic Management)
Francis Mutua
Finance & Administration Manager
Francis oversees budgeting, cashflows projections, financial reporting, audit and HR processes.
He holds a degree in Economics and he's a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K).
Eric Kilonzo
Marketing Lead
Eric is responsible for building a marketing road map and oversees all marketing channels.
He holds a degree in B Com (Marketing Major) from The University of Nairobi
James Nyarega
Consultant
James oversees training needs, capacity building, support, nurture, coach and mentor MSMEs.
James holds a Bachelors of Business Administration Degree (BBA-Accounting Option) from Maseno University among other qualifications.
Lewis Momanyi
Project Coordinator
Lewis is the program manager for the Training and skills for Kenyan Micro-Entrepreneurs project, an initiative by a Belgium NGO, ACTEC (Association for Cultural, Technical and Educational Cooperation) and ISBI.

Paul Ouma
Negotiation Module
Paul is an executive education trainer and ICF certified leadership and productivity
coach. He is an industry practitioner with extensive international senior management, leadership and board-level experience acquired working within blue-chip multinational organizations in the Africa region over the last 20 years.
A graduate of the University of Nairobi, BA (Hons), an MBA (Strategy & Entrepreneurship), an on-going Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) at United States International University (USIU).
Oliver Dundo
Legal Module
Oliver Dundo is a corporate and commercial lawyer with experience in commercial transactions including, incorporation of entities, corporate restructuring, competition, labor & employment, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), energy and infrastructure projects.
Oliver holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Kenyatta University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, a Diploma in Journalism from the British College of Journalism. He is also a certified PPP professional.

Marketing & Entrepreneurship Modules
Thrity Engineer is a Certified Executive & Leadership Coach & a Professional Marketer who has worked with diverse professionals in the business environment
Her areas of specialization are in Management and Leadership, Communication, Customer Experience, Sales & Marketing. She has trained over 320 managers in East Africa & 100 managers for KNHCR, MESPT, AIG & KCB among others
Dr. James Wanjagi
Strategy Consultant
Dr. James Wanjagi holds a PhD in Organizational Management from Capella University - School of Business in Minneapolis.
He is a seasoned senior level executive, Certified Project Mgt. Professional, Strategist & IT Technology expert with over 15 years market experience, managing organizational performance & multi-million dollar operations & projects
Margaret Muchoki
Tax Module
Margaret is a tax lawyer with over 5 years' experience in tax & general legal practice. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Law from Riara University and a Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Her areas of focus include: tax modification, mergers and acquisition integrations, tax relief planning, tax dispute resolution, negotiation, legal research and regulatory compliance.
She is a legal associate and research assistant at Anjarwalla & Khanna : ALN
Betty Maloba
Strategy and Investment & Banking Modules
Betty Maloba has 20 years’ experience in the banking industry, working as a senior business development manager at KCB (Kenya Commercial Bank). She is currently pursuing her PhD.
She has facilitated staff and client training while at KCB with respect to strategy and has vast knowledge in Investment and Banking, Bank products & Financing.
John Njane
Employee Management Module
John Njane is the Human Resource Manager at Strathmore University Business School, previously worked as the HR Partner at Strathmore University.
John is a mentor, serving undergraduate students at Strathmore University and a Part-time lecturer in areas of Leadership, Corporate Governance and Human Resource Management.
Dr. Tabitha Njuguna
Finance Modules
Dr. Tabitha Njuguna is a faculty member at Strathmore University Business School with over 13 years’ experience in teaching finance and accounting courses.
Dr. Njuguna holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Nairobi, Master of Commerce (Finance) degree from Strathmore University and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Nairobi. She is a chartered accountant with a qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from United Kingdom.
